The last mile of the San Francisco Marathon Course 2022! There is a lot to see in this last mile, beginning near the Barry Bonds Jr. Baseball diamond, where just beyond runners will see a statue of SF Giants Great Willy McCovey overlooking what has come to known as McCovey Cove.
Post the Cove, runners will follow the water and cross the Lefty O’Doul bridge (Lefty was born in the Bayview, played for the SF Seals and the NY Giants). The course then keeps runners along the water, past the Orlando Cepeda statue, then along the back side of the beautiful Oracle Park and South Beach Harbor.
This whole stretch includes amazing views of the Bay, the East Bay, Mt. Diablo and, of course, the Bay Bridge. Then, right around Pier 30 and Red’s Java Hut, an historic San Francisco restaurant by the bridge, is the 26 mile marker! Just .2 to go!

Best Spot for Family/Support: The Finish Line – under the Bay Bridge!
In this final marathon stretch runners pass Red’s Java Hut and the High Dive , with a race across the finish line at the Bay Bridge!
Post Marathon, runners can enjoy the city with their friends and family or jet over to the post-race VIP hospitality zone of the SF Marathon here SF marathon VIP Post Marathon area where a massive hearty post-race meal, non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails await! See the mile 26 video below!
